DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales & Revenue Generation
- Actively promote and sell the company’s products to maximize revenue in the assigned territory.
- Achieve or exceed individual sales targets on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Upsell and cross-sell products to increase the average order value per customer.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned outlets and surrounding areas.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers to encourage repeat purchases and brand loyalty.
Order Management & Fulfilment
- Pick, pack, and process customer orders accurately and efficiently according to company standards.
- Ensure timely delivery of products to customers in the assigned route or outlets.
- Monitor stock levels at customer outlets and coordinate replenishment orders proactively.
- Resolve discrepancies in orders or deliveries promptly, keeping the customer informed.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing, promotions, and product availability in the assigned territory.
- Report insights to the sales manager to inform business strategy, promotions, and product development.
- Maintain accurate records of daily sales, outlet visits, and market intelligence reports.
Customer Service & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with retailers, distributors, and other stakeholders.
- Address customer queries, complaints, and returns professionally and in a timely manner.
- Educate customers on new products, promotional campaigns, and product usage best practices.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and brand reputation in the market.
Territory Management
- Plan and execute daily routes to efficiently cover all assigned outlets.
- Monitor and report on territory performance, identifying areas for growth or improvement.
- Ensure that all key accounts are regularly visited and serviced according to company standards.
- Maintain a visible and consistent presence in the market to reinforce the brand’s presence.
Compliance & Administration
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and code of conduct at all times.
- Ensure all sales transactions, documentation, and cash handling are accurate and timely.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
- 2–3 years of experience in sales, preferably within the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry
- Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently
- Familiarity with the Mt. Kenya region is an advantage
