DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales & Revenue Generation

  • Actively promote and sell the company’s products to maximize revenue in the assigned territory.
  • Achieve or exceed individual sales targets on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Upsell and cross-sell products to increase the average order value per customer.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned outlets and surrounding areas.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers to encourage repeat purchases and brand loyalty.

Order Management & Fulfilment

  • Pick, pack, and process customer orders accurately and efficiently according to company standards.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products to customers in the assigned route or outlets.
  • Monitor stock levels at customer outlets and coordinate replenishment orders proactively.
  • Resolve discrepancies in orders or deliveries promptly, keeping the customer informed.

 Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing, promotions, and product availability in the assigned territory.
  • Report insights to the sales manager to inform business strategy, promotions, and product development.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily sales, outlet visits, and market intelligence reports.

 

 

 

Customer Service & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with retailers, distributors, and other stakeholders.
  • Address customer queries, complaints, and returns professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Educate customers on new products, promotional campaigns, and product usage best practices.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and brand reputation in the market.

Territory Management

  • Plan and execute daily routes to efficiently cover all assigned outlets.
  • Monitor and report on territory performance, identifying areas for growth or improvement.
  • Ensure that all key accounts are regularly visited and serviced according to company standards.
  • Maintain a visible and consistent presence in the market to reinforce the brand’s presence.

 Compliance & Administration

  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and code of conduct at all times.
  • Ensure all sales transactions, documentation, and cash handling are accurate and timely.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2–3 years of experience in sales, preferably within the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry
  • Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently
  • Familiarity with the Mt. Kenya region is an advantage
