DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Engagement and Relationship Management:
- Regularly visit retail outlets, supermarkets, wholesalers, and other customer points within assigned territories to build and nurture strong relationships. Understand customer needs and provide tailored product solutions to maximize sales opportunities.
Sales Target Achievement:
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets. Monitor personal sales performance and take proactive steps to improve results.
Product Promotion and Demonstration:
- Act as a brand ambassador by educating customers on product features, benefits, and usage to increase product visibility and acceptance. Conduct product demonstrations where applicable to encourage trial and repeat purchases.
Market Intelligence Gathering:
- Collect and report market data, including competitor activities, pricing, promotions, and customer feedback. Use this information to suggest improvements in sales strategies or product offerings to management.
Order Processing and Follow-up:
- Receive orders from customers, ensuring accuracy and timely submission to the supply chain or logistics teams. Follow up on order fulfilment to ensure prompt delivery and customer satisfaction.
Negotiation and Deal Closure:
- Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with customers to secure sales deals that benefit both the customer and the company while maintaining profitability.
Sales Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer contacts, and orders. Prepare daily and weekly sales reports to update supervisors on progress, challenges, and opportunities.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Work closely with marketing, supply chain, and customer service teams to align sales efforts with promotional campaigns, product availability, and customer support services.
Territory Management:
- Plan and organize sales visits efficiently to maximize coverage of assigned areas. Identify potential new customers and market segments within the territory.
Compliance and Ethical Standards:
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all sales activities. Maintain a professional appearance and behavior that reflects well on the company.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma or Degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales, preferably in FMCG products.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and proactive.
- Proficient in using MS Office and sales reporting tools is an advantage.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within assigned territories is preferred.
