DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
- Proactively identify and approach potential Horeca clients (hotels, restaurants, cafés) to present company products.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers (chefs, procurement managers, restaurant owners, etc.).
- Conduct regular site visits and client check-ins to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies tailored to the Horeca channel to achieve monthly and quarterly targets.
- Analyze customer needs and recommend suitable products or solutions that align with their business goals.
- Manage the full sales cycle – from prospecting and pitching to negotiating terms and closing deals.
Product Knowledge & Presentation:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company’s product portfolio, pricing, and promotions.
- Conduct product demos, tastings, or samples as needed to support client decision-making.
- Communicate product benefits, usage, and key differentiators clearly to clients.
Market Intelligence & Competitor Analysis:
- Monitor industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor activity in the Horeca space.
- Provide feedback to management on market gaps, emerging needs, and potential growth opportunities.
- Suggest new products or improvements based on market feedback and client requests.
Order Management & Coordination:
- Work closely with the operations and logistics teams to ensure timely processing and delivery of customer orders.
- Track orders, resolve delivery issues, and coordinate with warehousing to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Ensure client orders are accurately captured, invoiced, and documented in internal systems.
Revenue & Payment Follow-Up:
- Drive consistent revenue growth through upselling and cross-selling.
- Follow up diligently on outstanding invoices and support the finance team in ensuring timely collections.
- Address client concerns regarding pricing, discounts, and credit terms in line with company policies.
Reporting & Administration:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, leads, customer interactions, and pipeline status.
- Submit weekly and monthly sales reports to the Sales Manager with insights on performance and challenges.
- Participate in regular team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in sales, specifically selling FMCG products to Horeca clients
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to close sales and achieve targets
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently
- Familiarity with the Horeca landscape in the Industrial Area and surrounding regions is an added advantage
