DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes as per menu specifications.
  • Maintain high-quality standards for food presentation and taste.
  • Ensure proper storage and labeling of ingredients.
  • Assist in inventory management and report shortages to the head chef.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the kitchen at all times.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Adhere to kitchen safety and hygiene protocols.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions for menu development and improvements.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to uphold high-quality standards.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations in the kitchen environment.

 

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality Management or Culinary Arts from a recognized institution.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role as a Junior Chef, Cook, or Chef Assistant in a professional kitchen.
  • Strong understanding of food preparation, kitchen hygiene, and safety standards.
  • Creativity and passion for culinary arts with attention to detail in food presentation.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
