PLUMBER

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Installation & Maintenance

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and water supply lines.
• Handle drainage, sewage, and water heating systems efficiently.
• Ensure proper installation of valves, faucets, and other plumbing equipment.

Troubleshooting & Repairs

• Diagnose plumbing issues and provide effective solutions.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Repair leaks, clogged drains, and other plumbing malfunctions.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow safety guidelines and ensure all plumbing work meets quality and regulatory standards.
• Use tools, equipment, and materials safely and efficiently.
• Report potential hazards or safety concerns to the maintenance supervisor.

Technical Skills & Documentation

• Read and interpret basic drawings, layouts, and plumbing schematics.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and material usage.
• Assist in preparing reports on recurring issues and suggest preventive measures.

Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with the maintenance team to coordinate tasks and schedules.
• Assist in regular inspections and preventive maintenance of plumbing systems.
• Provide guidance to junior or apprentice plumbers when required.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• 2–5 years of hands-on plumbing experience
• Experience in hotels, residential, or commercial buildings preferred
• Strong technical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read basic plumbing drawings and layouts
• Knowledge of safety standards and plumbing regulations
• Physically fit and able to handle plumbing tools and equipment
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
