DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure incoming materials are in compliance to required specifications.
- Ensure that process and finished products are in compliance with the required specifications.
- Responsible for control of non- conforming materials and products.
- Assist with investigation for customer complaints and nonconformance issues.
- Assist with training and instruction for production operators.
- Responsible for laboratory equipment and inventory.
- Responsible for maintaining Good Housekeeping Practices in the laboratory.
- Maintain accurate documentation in hard and soft copy of quality inspection and laboratory test results.
- Responsible for testing competitor samples and assist in R&D and NPD.
- Responsible to ensure food safety standards are maintained throughout the entire process.
- Ensure all documentation of quality control activities has been done by end of shift
- Monitor water purification and process systems water quality.
- Promote Occupational Health and Safety by leading daily “Stop for Safety” toolbox meetings.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Degree/certification in quality management or related field
- At least 1 year experience in a food manufacturing field
- A deep understanding of food safety regulations, HACCP principles, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and techniques for testing food products (e.g., pH meters, moisture meters, chemical analysis)
- Skill in collecting, analysing, and interpreting data from quality control tests
