DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality Assurance & Control:

  • Conduct routine inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished sacks to ensure they meet quality standards and client specifications.
  • Monitor and document all production processes, identifying deviations and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, test results, and corrective actions.

Process Improvement:

  • Collaborate with the production team to identify opportunities for quality enhancement and waste reduction.
  • Participate in root cause analysis for product defects or process issues, and help implement long-term solutions.
  • Suggest modifications to production methods or materials to improve quality and efficiency.

Compliance & Documentation:

  • Ensure compliance with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and health & safety protocols specific to sacks manufacturing.
  • Prepare and maintain quality-related documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), checklists, and compliance reports.
  • Ensure timely reporting and resolution of non-conformances.

Health & Safety:

  • Promote and adhere to workplace health and safety procedures across all manufacturing activities.
  • Participate in safety audits and risk assessments, and help implement best practices to maintain a safe working environment.

 

 

Training & Collaboration:

  • Provide guidance to production staff on quality standards and inspection techniques.
  • Support training initiatives to improve quality awareness across departments.
  • Liaise with other departments including Production, Maintenance, and Logistics to ensure alignment on quality goals.

 

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma in Industrial Chemistry, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a quality control role within a sacks or packaging manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards
  • Familiarity with manufacturing health and safety regulations
  • Good decision-making and communication skills
