DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement effective regional sales strategies in alignment with company objectives.
- Set monthly and quarterly sales targets and ensure achievement through active monitoring and field support.
- Identify market opportunities, monitor competitor activities, and recommend effective market penetration strategies.
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, coach, and mentor the regional sales team to meet individual and team performance targets.
- Conduct regular training and performance evaluations to ensure team effectiveness.
- Foster a culture of accountability, motivation, and professional development.
Client & Distributor Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, wholesalers, and retail customers.
- Negotiate commercial terms with distributors and ensure timely order placements and stock replenishment.
- Resolve customer issues and complaints in a timely, professional manner.
Market & Sales Reporting
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales activities and prepare detailed performance reports.
- Analyze sales trends and forecast future demand to inform inventory and logistics planning.
- Provide market intelligence and feedback to the senior leadership team for decision-making.
Compliance & Brand Representation
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements governing alcohol sales in the region.
- Represent the company and its brands in a professional manner during trade visits and promotional events.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field. A diploma with strong field experience will also be considered
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in alcohol distribution sales or FMCG, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment
- Deep understanding of the alcohol distribution ecosystem, including trade channels and licensing
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with sales CRM tools
