DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement effective regional sales strategies in alignment with company objectives.
  • Set monthly and quarterly sales targets and ensure achievement through active monitoring and field support.
  • Identify market opportunities, monitor competitor activities, and recommend effective market penetration strategies.

Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead, coach, and mentor the regional sales team to meet individual and team performance targets.
  • Conduct regular training and performance evaluations to ensure team effectiveness.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, motivation, and professional development.

Client & Distributor Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, wholesalers, and retail customers.
  • Negotiate commercial terms with distributors and ensure timely order placements and stock replenishment.
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints in a timely, professional manner.

Market & Sales Reporting

  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales activities and prepare detailed performance reports.
  • Analyze sales trends and forecast future demand to inform inventory and logistics planning.
  • Provide market intelligence and feedback to the senior leadership team for decision-making.

 

 

Compliance & Brand Representation

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements governing alcohol sales in the region.
  • Represent the company and its brands in a professional manner during trade visits and promotional events.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field. A diploma with strong field experience will also be considered
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in alcohol distribution sales or FMCG, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment
  • Deep understanding of the alcohol distribution ecosystem, including trade channels and licensing
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with sales CRM tools
