DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Store Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the supermarket to ensure smooth running.
- Open and close the store as per operational schedule.
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety in all areas of the supermarket.
- Handle customer complaints and feedback promptly and professionally.
Staff Management
- Supervise and motivate staff to meet performance standards.
- Prepare staff work schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Monitor staff attendance and maintain discipline and morale.
- Conduct training and mentorship for new and existing employees.
Sales & Customer Service
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
- Monitor customer feedback and address areas for improvement.
Inventory & Stock Management
- Manage stock levels, ensure timely ordering, and prevent stockouts.
- Supervise receiving, storage, and display of goods.
- Conduct regular stock takes and report any discrepancies.
- Ensure proper pricing and labeling of all products.
Financial Oversight
- Monitor daily cash flow and oversee POS operations.
- Ensure accuracy in cash handling, reconciliation, and banking.
- Control shrinkage, wastage, and pilferage within the store.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and local regulations.
- Maintain documentation including sales reports, expense reports, and inventory logs.
- Report daily/weekly/monthly performance to management.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field
- 2-3 years of proven experience as a Supermarket Supervisor or Manager
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficient in MS Office and POS systems
- Knowledge of retail management best practices and customer service standards
