DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Drink Preparation and Service

  • Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
  • Ensure drinks are served promptly and presented attractively.
  • Recommend drinks or cocktails to guests based on their tastes or special promotions.

Customer Service and Guest Interaction

  • Greet and engage with guests in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner.
  • Handle guest requests, complaints, or inquiries efficiently and courteously.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by creating a positive bar experience.

Bar Maintenance and Hygiene

  • Keep the bar area clean, organized, and well-stocked throughout the shift.
  • Regularly clean glassware, utensils, and equipment to meet hygiene standards.
  • Dispose of waste properly and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.

Cash Handling and POS Operations

  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for billing, order entry, and payments.
  • Handle cash, credit card, and other transactions responsibly.
  • Reconcile sales at the end of the shift and report discrepancies to management.

 Inventory Management

  • Monitor stock levels of beverages, garnishes, and bar supplies.
  • Assist with inventory counts and report shortages or ordering needs to the manager.
  • Ensure proper storage and rotation of stock to prevent spoilage or wastage.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist in training new bar staff or supporting colleagues during busy periods.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving bar service.

 Compliance and Professionalism

  • Adhere to all company policies, including dress code and grooming standards.
  • Follow responsible alcohol service practices and local laws regarding alcohol consumption.
  • Maintain professional conduct and represent the establishment positively at all times.

Flexible Scheduling

  • Be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as required.
  • Adapt to changing work demands and handle high-pressure situations efficiently.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Certificate or diploma in Hospitality, Hotel Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working as a Barman or in a similar hospitality role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in using POS systems for transactions.
  • Excellent grooming and professional appearance.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
