DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet and assist customers professionally.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable construction tools and materials.
- Upsell and cross-sell products to maximize sales opportunities.
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly.
- Operate the cashier system efficiently, handling cash, mobile payments, and POS transactions.
- Issue receipts, process returns, and maintain accurate financial records.
- Ensure proper balancing of the cash register at the end of each shift.
- Monitor stock levels and report low inventory or discrepancies.
- Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing hardware materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized store layout to enhance customer experience.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction materials, tools, and hardware products.
- Provide technical advice and demonstrations to customers where necessary.
- Assist in training junior staff or new team members on product knowledge.
- Maintain daily sales records and generate reports for management.
- Use basic computer applications for inventory management, invoicing, and communication.
- Assist management in preparing periodic sales and performance reports.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and standard operating procedures.
- Follow safety protocols in handling tools, equipment, and materials.
- Promote a safe working environment for staff and customers.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Degree or Diploma in any field
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a construction hardware environment.
- Strong knowledge of construction tools, materials, and hardware products.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, POS systems, inventory software)
