DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet customers as they approach the counter and ensure a positive experience.
- Accurately process customer payments using the Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
- Ensure that all transactions are handled promptly and accurately, including cash, card, and mobile money payments.
- Provide customers with receipts and change as necessary.
- Maintain and balance the cash register throughout the shift, ensuring proper cash handling and preventing discrepancies.
- Address customer inquiries regarding the menu, payment methods, and promotions.
- Assist in managing and tracking inventory, ensuring adequate stock for cash register supplies.
- Provide excellent customer service by resolving issues and answering questions related to billing or transactions.
- Keep the cashier station clean and organized.
- Assist other team members with duties as needed.
- Adhere to the company’s policies and procedures for handling cash and payments.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma or Degree in Business Management or a related field
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a cashier or customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Proficient in the use of POS software and cash management.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
- Good customer service orientation with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
