DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess Student Proficiency: Evaluate individual students' English language proficiency through assessments and one-on-one interactions.
  • Develop Lesson Plans: Create personalized lesson plans tailored to each student’s learning style, strengths, and areas of improvement.
  • Instruction: Teach key English language skills, including grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing, and speaking.
  • Provide Feedback: Offer constructive feedback on students’ assignments and in-class activities to guide improvement and promote language development.
  • Track Student Progress: Monitor and track students' academic progress, adjusting lesson plans and teaching strategies as needed to ensure goals are met.
  • Promote Engagement: Foster a positive and motivating learning environment to engage students, encourage active participation, and create an enjoyable learning experience.
  • Provide progress updates: Communicate with parents or guardians, offering suggestions for additional support or improvement outside of tutoring sessions.
  • Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with best practices in language teaching and incorporate innovative teaching techniques to improve student learning.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Degree in Education with a specialization in English or a related field
  • Prior experience as an English teacher or tutor, preferably with a proven track record of student success
  • Strong command of the English language, including grammar, vocabulary, writing, and speaking skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students effectively
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities to manage multiple students and tasks efficiently
