FIELD SALES REPRESENTATIVES

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales & Business Development

• Promote and sell the company’s pharmaceutical products to hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and healthcare practitioners.
• Identify and establish new business opportunities in the assigned territory.
• Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Negotiate pricing and product terms with clients in accordance with company policy.

Client Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key healthcare providers and decision-makers.
• Conduct regular client visits to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
• Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide after-sales support.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

• Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer needs.
• Provide timely and accurate reports on sales performance, client feedback, and market insights.
• Participate in periodic strategy meetings with the sales team and management.

Product Knowledge & Training

• Stay updated with detailed knowledge of all company products, including therapeutic uses, side effects, and proper administration.
• Train clients on product usage and provide educational support materials when necessary.

Territory Management

• Plan and execute an effective route plan to cover the assigned territory efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of sales visits, calls, and client interactions.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Pharmacy, Biomedical Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in pharmaceutical sales
• Familiarity with the Mount Kenya and/or Coastal regions is an added advantage
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Customer-focused with a solution-oriented mindset
• Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision
• Proficient in MS Office and digital reporting tools
