JOB SUMMARY
Our client is seeking a motivated and results-driven General Machine Sales Agent to drive sales and expand our customer base. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general machine sales, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing top-notch customer service.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Promote and Sell Products:
- Effectively promote and sell the company’s range of general machines to a diverse portfolio of clients, including new and existing customers.
- Understand customer needs and offer personalized product solutions to meet their requirements.
- Leverage various sales strategies and channels to increase product visibility and drive sales.
Market Research & Networking:
- Identify and target potential clients by conducting thorough market research.
- Build and maintain a network of industry contacts, including suppliers, distributors, and potential clients.
- Continuously seek out new business opportunities and market segments for the company’s products.
Customer Relationship Development:
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers by providing excellent service, personalized attention, and understanding of their needs.
- Become a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring their satisfaction with the product and recommending additional solutions where appropriate.
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and resolving any concerns they may have.
Product Demonstrations & Presentations:
- Conduct in-person or virtual product demonstrations to showcase the features, benefits, and value of the company’s machines.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations to potential clients, focusing on how the product can address their specific needs and improve their operations.
- Provide clear, accurate information about product specifications, performance, and pricing.
Achieve Sales Targets & Contribute to Growth:
- Meet and exceed assigned sales targets and contribute to the overall growth and success of the company.
- Develop and execute strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives.
- Report on sales performance, opportunities, and challenges to the sales manager regularly.
After-Sales Support & Customer Satisfaction:
- Provide ongoing after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction, including troubleshooting, follow-ups, and addressing any issues or concerns.
- Ensure the timely delivery, installation, and commissioning of machines at customer sites.
- Gather feedback from clients to improve products and services, and report any potential improvements to the product development team.
Stay Updated on Industry Trends & Competitor Activities:
- Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
- Share insights and updates with the sales team to adapt sales strategies to changing market dynamics.
- Monitor new product developments and identify opportunities to integrate them into the company’s offering.
Collaboration with Marketing and Other Teams:
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team to ensure consistent messaging, promotional materials, and advertising strategies are aligned with sales goals.
- Work with other departments, including logistics, customer support, and product development, to ensure smooth execution of orders and excellent customer experience.
Reporting & Sales Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities using the company’s CRM system.
- Prepare regular sales reports and provide valuable feedback to the management team on performance, market trends, and customer feedback.
- Keep detailed documentation on customer preferences, contract terms, and follow-up schedules.
Participate in Industry Events & Networking Opportunities:
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and networking events to represent the company, promote products, and connect with potential clients.
- Stay actively involved in professional associations and organizations related to the industry to enhance the company’s reputation and reach.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Degree/diploma in sales and marketing or related field
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in agricultural machine sales, preferably in the general machinery industry
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of the market and customer needs.
