DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including receipts, payments, invoices, and bank transactions.
- Ensure proper filing and documentation of all financial records in line with company policies.
Accounts Reconciliation:
- Assist in the reconciliation of accounts and ensure that discrepancies are promptly addressed.
- Prepare and review financial reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Invoice Processing:
- Process and verify invoices from suppliers, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained.
- Ensure timely payment of invoices and proper documentation of transactions.
Payroll Administration Support:
- Assist in processing employee payroll, ensuring accurate deductions and timely payments.
- Maintain payroll records, including leave, overtime, and other related documentation.
Tax Compliance:
- Assist in the preparation of tax-related documentation and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
- Assist with VAT returns, PAYE, and other statutory payments as required.
Banking and Cash Handling:
- Assist in managing daily banking transactions, including deposits and withdrawals.
- Monitor cash flow and report any inconsistencies to the Supervisor.
General Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative support to the finance team, including preparing correspondence, reports, and other necessary documents.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure the smooth flow of financial information.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, CPA is an added advantage
- 2-4 years of experience in an accounting or administrative role, ideally within a busy or fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
