MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage maintenance activities to ensure the smooth operation of production machinery and equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on all mechanical systems, ensuring high reliability and performance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, and oversee repairs as necessary.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules and ensure adherence to industry best practices.
• Manage the inventory of spare parts and coordinate with vendors for procurement.
• Oversee and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring they are well-trained, equipped, and motivated.
• Create and maintain accurate maintenance logs and reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations within the maintenance department.
• Provide technical support to the production team to optimize machine performance and reduce downtime.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth coordination and problem resolution.
• Lead root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering department within a manufacturing company.
• Prior experience in a plastic manufacturing company is highly desirable.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team, ensuring high levels of performance and accountability.
• Ability to make quick decisions and adapt in fast-paced situations.
