DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Production Oversight

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise day-to-day production activities to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Ensure production output meets quality standards and adheres to company specifications.
  • Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to optimize productivity.
  • Maintain optimal use of materials, equipment, and manpower to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

Quality & Food Safety

  • Ensure all production activities comply with local and international food safety regulations (HACCP, ISO 22000, etc.).
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to implement and monitor food safety and quality control procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure hygiene and sanitation standards are strictly followed.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise, train, and motivate production staff to achieve performance goals.
  • Maintain clear communication with the team, addressing concerns and fostering a positive working environment.
  • Organize daily work schedules and delegate responsibilities appropriately.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare and maintain production reports, including daily output, downtime, material usage, and workforce performance.
  • Report any equipment faults, production issues, or non-compliance incidents to the Production Manager.

 

Health & Safety

  • Enforce adherence to health and safety guidelines to create a safe working environment.
  • Ensure that all staff use protective gear and equipment as required.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Degree or Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role within a food processing or manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and quality control standards
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as HACCP, GMP, and ISO standards
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team under pressure
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
