DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- New Business Development: Identify new sales opportunities and expand the customer base within the Nyanza region, focusing on retail Wines & Spirits shops and supermarkets.
- Relationship Building & Account Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, lasting relationships with retail customers. Ensure that they receive excellent customer service and are fully stocked with the products they need.
- Product Placement & Visibility: Ensure that products are properly placed in stores and are consistently available for purchase. Implement effective in-store promotions to maximize visibility and sales.
- Market Intelligence: Gather market insights to understand customer preferences and stay ahead of emerging trends. Monitor competitor activities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Sales Tracking & Reporting: Maintain records of all sales activities, including sales orders, customer meetings, and market conditions. Provide regular sales reports to management and forecast future sales opportunities.
- Promotional Activities: Coordinate and execute promotional campaigns, including in-store events, tastings, and special offers, to drive consumer engagement and increase sales.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Experience in selling alcoholic products in retail Wines & Spirits shops or supermarkets.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with key clients.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated and target-driven, with a passion for achieving and exceeding sales goals.
- Familiarity with the Nyanza region and its consumer behaviour.
