DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proactively seek out and approach new customers (retailers, wholesalers, salons, pharmacies, beauty shops) within the assigned territory.
- Conduct cold calls, store visits, and networking to generate leads and build a strong pipeline.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the territory’s market dynamics and customer needs.
- Establish trusted, long-term relationships with customers by offering exceptional service and consistent follow-up.
- Address client inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Actively promote cosmetic products to existing and potential clients through in-person demonstrations, presentations, and sampling.
- Stay up to date on product knowledge, including benefits, ingredients, and usage techniques.
- Train clients (e.g., salon staff, retail workers) on product features and best-selling practices when required.
- Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas and performance metrics.
- Plan and execute daily routes and visits to ensure optimal territory coverage.
- Maintain accurate records of client visits, sales calls, and orders placed.
- Analyze sales data to track trends, identify gaps, and implement improvement strategies.
- Gather and report on competitor activities, pricing strategies, and promotions.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Keep accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and inventory (where applicable).
- Ensure proper documentation of client agreements, delivery notes, and receipts.
- Represent the company professionally at all times, adhering to brand standards and ethical sales practices.
- Uphold company values and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or any related field
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in sales, preferably in a cosmetic or beauty-related industry
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet targets
- Strong customer focus and ability to understand client needs
- Knowledge of the Nairobi market and customer dynamics is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools is an added advantage
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within assigned territory is a plus
