DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively seek out and approach new customers (retailers, wholesalers, salons, pharmacies, beauty shops) within the assigned territory.
  • Conduct cold calls, store visits, and networking to generate leads and build a strong pipeline.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the territory’s market dynamics and customer needs.
  • Establish trusted, long-term relationships with customers by offering exceptional service and consistent follow-up.
  • Address client inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Actively promote cosmetic products to existing and potential clients through in-person demonstrations, presentations, and sampling.
  • Stay up to date on product knowledge, including benefits, ingredients, and usage techniques.
  • Train clients (e.g., salon staff, retail workers) on product features and best-selling practices when required.
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas and performance metrics.
  • Plan and execute daily routes and visits to ensure optimal territory coverage.
  • Maintain accurate records of client visits, sales calls, and orders placed.
  • Analyze sales data to track trends, identify gaps, and implement improvement strategies.
  • Gather and report on competitor activities, pricing strategies, and promotions.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
  • Keep accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and inventory (where applicable).
  • Ensure proper documentation of client agreements, delivery notes, and receipts.
  • Represent the company professionally at all times, adhering to brand standards and ethical sales practices.
  • Uphold company values and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or any related field
  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in sales, preferably in a cosmetic or beauty-related industry
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet targets
  • Strong customer focus and ability to understand client needs
  • Knowledge of the Nairobi market and customer dynamics is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools is an added advantage
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within assigned territory is a plus
