DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales and Customer Service

  • Actively promote and sell building and construction materials to walk-in clients and contractors.
  • Generate new leads, follow up on prospects, and convert inquiries into sales.
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales targets and performance metrics.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by understanding client needs and offering appropriate solutions.

 Store Operations

  • Assist in managing inventory levels, ensuring product availability and correct stock rotation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store layout to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Prepare quotations, invoices, and sales receipts for customers.

Marketing and Promotion

  • Implement both traditional and digital marketing strategies to boost store visibility and sales.
  • Manage social media pages and create promotional content to drive online engagement.
  • Participate in marketing campaigns, activations, and local networking events.

 CRM and Customer Data Management

  • Use CRM systems to manage customer records, sales pipeline, and follow-ups.
  • Analyze customer purchasing behavior and provide tailored product recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions, transactions, and feedback.

 

 

 

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma or Degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales, preferably in hardware, building, or construction materials industry
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Hands-on experience with CRM software and digital marketing tools
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of the Kitengela area and surrounding markets is a plus
