DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales and Customer Service
- Actively promote and sell building and construction materials to walk-in clients and contractors.
- Generate new leads, follow up on prospects, and convert inquiries into sales.
- Meet or exceed monthly sales targets and performance metrics.
- Provide exceptional customer service by understanding client needs and offering appropriate solutions.
Store Operations
- Assist in managing inventory levels, ensuring product availability and correct stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized store layout to enhance the shopping experience.
- Prepare quotations, invoices, and sales receipts for customers.
Marketing and Promotion
- Implement both traditional and digital marketing strategies to boost store visibility and sales.
- Manage social media pages and create promotional content to drive online engagement.
- Participate in marketing campaigns, activations, and local networking events.
CRM and Customer Data Management
- Use CRM systems to manage customer records, sales pipeline, and follow-ups.
- Analyze customer purchasing behavior and provide tailored product recommendations.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions, transactions, and feedback.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma or Degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales, preferably in hardware, building, or construction materials industry
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Hands-on experience with CRM software and digital marketing tools
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of the Kitengela area and surrounding markets is a plus
