DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Installation and Commissioning:
- Oversee the complete installation process of solar energy systems, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
- Conduct site evaluations to determine optimal placement and configuration of solar panels and associated equipment.
System Maintenance and Repairs:
- Perform routine maintenance on solar systems to ensure efficiency and longevity, including cleaning and inspecting equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in solar systems, employing effective repair strategies to minimize downtime.
Technical Support and Training:
- Provide technical support to clients and sales teams, answering inquiries related to system performance and maintenance.
- Train clients on proper usage and maintenance of their solar energy systems, enhancing user understanding and satisfaction.
Safety Compliance:
- Ensure all installations comply with local codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Conduct safety audits and risk assessments on-site, implementing corrective measures as necessary.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and repairs, ensuring compliance with company protocols.
- Prepare and submit reports detailing work performed, parts used, and any issues encountered during installations or maintenance.
Collaboration with Teams:
- Work closely with the sales team to provide technical insights and support in pre-sale consultations.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely project completion and client satisfaction.
Continuous Learning and Development:
- Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in solar energy.
- Attend workshops, training sessions, and industry conferences to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
Inventory Management:
- Assist in managing inventory of parts and equipment, ensuring necessary supplies are available for installations and repairs.
- Coordinate with suppliers to order replacement parts as needed, minimizing delays in service.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a solar technician.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in challenging environments.
