DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise, motivate, and mentor a team of drivers and other logistics personnel.
  • Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and provide coaching and feedback.
  • Create and maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Manage team schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Address and resolve team conflicts and performance issues.
  • Plan and optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Utilize route planning software and tools effectively.
  • Monitor traffic conditions and adjust routes as needed.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of company vehicles.
  • Ensure compliance with vehicle maintenance schedules and safety inspections.
  • Monitor vehicle performance and identify potential issues.
  • Maintain accurate vehicle records, including mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance logs.
  • Enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant traffic laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety training for team members.
  • Investigate and report any accidents or incidents.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including sales, customer service, and warehouse teams.
  • Provide regular updates on delivery status and any potential delays.
  • Prepare and submit reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as on-time delivery rates, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Identify and resolve logistics challenges and issues.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.

 

 

 

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Driver Supervisor, Logistics Route Supervisor, or in a similar logistics leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of logistics principles and best practices
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Proficient in route planning software and tools
  • Familiarity with vehicle maintenance and management
