DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Curriculum Delivery
- Deliver high-quality, engaging online lectures in Data Analysis in alignment with the CBET framework and institutional curriculum.
- Use diverse teaching methods and digital tools to meet different learning styles and ensure student engagement in a virtual setting.
Training Material Development
- Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, digital presentations, practical exercises, and learning resources tailored to Data Analysis topics.
- Update content regularly to reflect current industry trends, tools, and methodologies in data analytics.
Student Assessment and Evaluation
- Design and administer continuous assessments, quizzes, assignments, and end-of-course exams to evaluate student understanding.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth and skills development.
Practical Training and Supervision
- Guide students through practical, hands-on data analysis exercises using tools such as Excel, R, Python, or SPSS.
- Supervise student projects, ensuring they apply theoretical knowledge to real-world data problems.
Student Support and Mentorship
- Offer one-on-one or group academic support to students struggling with course content.
- Provide career and academic guidance to help students understand how to apply data analysis in professional contexts.
Administrative and Reporting Duties
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, participation, grades, and performance analytics.
- Submit regular reports on student progress and class activities to the Academic Coordinator.
Compliance and Standards
- Ensure all instruction adheres to TVETA and CBET regulatory guidelines and institutional policies.
- Participate in internal audits, curriculum reviews, and compliance documentation as required.
Professional Development
- Stay up-to-date with advances in data analytics tools, virtual teaching methods, and education technology.
- Attend institutional training sessions, workshops, and collaborative faculty meetings.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma in Data Analysis, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field
- Must be a licensed TVET instructor
- Proven experience delivering Data Analysis training, preferably in a TVET or online learning environment
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SPSS, R, or Python is an added advantage
- Strong communication and presentation skills suitable for online instruction
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
