DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure sales representatives are well-advised on their individual and team performance.
- Regularly track and analyze sales data to assess progress toward targets and goals.
- Set clear goals and targets for the sales team, and provide continuous support to ensure they are achieved through close monitoring and guidance.
- Ensure that clients are well-served and satisfied through the efficient performance of the sales representatives.
- Follow up with clients to ensure retention and continued satisfaction.
- Identify and leverage the special abilities of each sales representative to optimize team performance and align them with the company’s business goals.
- Provide regular advice to the Senior Management Team (SMT) on areas where support is needed to improve sales performance and efficiency within the department.
- Organize and facilitate team-building activities and training programs to enhance the skills and motivation of the sales team.
- Formulate daily schedules for sales representatives and ensure proper coordination of routes to ensure client coverage.
- Advise the organization on emerging markets, industry trends, and follow up on new client acquisition to ensure retention and long-term business relationships.
- Ensure that sales team members are well-motivated, engaged, and supported to reach their full potential.
- Lead effective planning sessions, set sales goals and targets, and analyze past performance data to create actionable strategies for improvement.
- Ensure that the sales department collaborates effectively with other departments to enhance overall business performance and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and set realistic sales targets for the team, ensuring they align with company objectives.
- Coordinate sales representatives' routes to ensure that all areas are well-served and clients receive timely attention.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve overall sales performance and growth.
- Develop and maintain a competitor information database to stay informed about market trends, pricing, and new product offerings.
- Conduct market surveys and research to identify opportunities for market development and potential new clients.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- Proven track record of success in achieving sales targets and managing sales teams.
- Strong understanding of the oil and gas market, including products, pricing, and distribution channels.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory.
