JOB SUMMARY

The Solar Energy Storage Systems (ESS) Direct Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales and managing business development activities for solar energy storage solutions.

The role involves developing sales strategies, building relationships with key clients,

identifying new business opportunities, and leading a sales team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of solar technology, energy storage

systems, and a strong background in both B2C and B2B sales, particularly in the renewable energy sector.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Dealer Network Management:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve the company's solar ESS sales

targets.

  • Identify and target new markets and customer segments for solar energy storage

solutions.

  • Manage relationships with existing clients while establishing new partnerships to

expand market share.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, marketing, operations) to

support the delivery of ESS projects.

Lead Generation & Pipeline Management:

  • Identify and qualify leads, managing the sales pipeline to ensure timely follow-up and

closure of deals.

  • Drive lead generation efforts through direct outreach, industry networking, and

participation in renewable energy events.

  • Prepare and present proposals, pricing, and technical solutions to potential

customers.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are

met and providing post-sales support.

  • Serve as a key point of contact for customers, understanding their energy storage

requirements, and offering customized solutions.

  • Provide training and technical assistance to customers as needed.

Market Research & Analysis:

  • Stay up to date with the latest trends in solar energy, battery storage technologies,

and market dynamics.

  • Monitor competitor activities, products, and pricing strategies to adjust sales tactics

accordingly.

  • Gather and analyze market intelligence to forecast sales trends and plan inventory

requirements.

Sales Reporting & Performance Management:

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports, tracking KPIs and performance

metrics.

  • Monitor the performance of the sales team, providing coaching and feedback to

ensure targets are met.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials,

presentations, and marketing campaigns.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to the sales team on solar ESS

technology and sales techniques.

  • Coordinate with internal departments, including operations and finance, to ensure

smooth execution of contracts and delivery.

Product & Market Knowledge:

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ESS products, technologies, and market trends.
  • Provide guidance to dealers on product positioning, benefits, and competitive

advantages.

  • Stay informed about competitors’ activities and suggest appropriate responses to

maintain market share.

Support & Coordination:

  • Coordinate with internal teams (such as logistics, marketing, and technical support)

to ensure dealers receive timely product deliveries, marketing materials, and technical support.

  • Ensuring all team members are branded and equipped accordingly with all they need

including identification and business cards.

  • Act as the main point of contact for dealers regarding any inquiries or issues related

to ESS products.

  • Be the support liaison between Management and the team

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare regular sales reports, highlighting achievements, challenges, and

opportunities within the dealer network.

  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities for growth, and areas for

improvement.

  • Any other duties given by management.

 

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Over 5 years’ experience in Solar ESS sales, preferably within the energy storage, renewable energy, or technology sectors.
  • Experience managing dealer networks or working within a B2B sales environment is a plus.
  • Understanding of the ESS market and related technologies is highly desirable.
