DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of tour consultants to achieve departmental goals and performance targets.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, address challenges, and ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support in complex customer inquiries and bookings.

Tour Operations Management

  • Oversee the daily operations of the tours department, ensuring timely and efficient handling of customer inquiries, quotations, bookings, and follow-ups.
  • Monitor and coordinate tour itineraries, transport arrangements, and accommodation bookings.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of travel trends, destinations, and tour packages.

Customer Service Excellence

  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by maintaining professional and prompt communication with clients.
  • Handle client complaints or issues escalated by tour consultants and provide effective solutions.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve the customer experience and feedback systems.

Sales & Performance Monitoring

  • Work with the management team to set sales targets for the tours department.
  • Track performance metrics and KPIs, and prepare regular reports on bookings, revenue, and customer feedback.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling tours and services.

Coordination & Communication

  • Liaise with internal departments such as marketing, finance, and transport for smooth operations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external vendors, travel partners, and suppliers.
  • Represent the tours department in strategy meetings and provide insights to improve service delivery.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma or Degree in Travel, Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in the tours and travel industry, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of local and international travel destinations, packages, and itinerary planning
  • Proven ability to manage and lead a team effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Customer-centric mindset with a problem-solving approach
  • Proficiency in reservation systems and Microsoft Office Suite
