DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of tour consultants to achieve departmental goals and performance targets.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, address challenges, and ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Provide guidance and support in complex customer inquiries and bookings.
Tour Operations Management
- Oversee the daily operations of the tours department, ensuring timely and efficient handling of customer inquiries, quotations, bookings, and follow-ups.
- Monitor and coordinate tour itineraries, transport arrangements, and accommodation bookings.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of travel trends, destinations, and tour packages.
Customer Service Excellence
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by maintaining professional and prompt communication with clients.
- Handle client complaints or issues escalated by tour consultants and provide effective solutions.
- Continuously seek ways to improve the customer experience and feedback systems.
Sales & Performance Monitoring
- Work with the management team to set sales targets for the tours department.
- Track performance metrics and KPIs, and prepare regular reports on bookings, revenue, and customer feedback.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling tours and services.
Coordination & Communication
- Liaise with internal departments such as marketing, finance, and transport for smooth operations.
- Build and maintain relationships with external vendors, travel partners, and suppliers.
- Represent the tours department in strategy meetings and provide insights to improve service delivery.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma or Degree in Travel, Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in the tours and travel industry, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
- Strong knowledge of local and international travel destinations, packages, and itinerary planning
- Proven ability to manage and lead a team effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Customer-centric mindset with a problem-solving approach
- Proficiency in reservation systems and Microsoft Office Suite
